There is a LOT going on when it comes to getting ready for a boudoir session. We've got all the resources you need but it can be overwhelming, so I wanted to compile a list of the Top 12 questions I'm asked the most when it comes to getting ready for a session! Here goes!

1. Do I have to wear lingerie?
Our goal at Silhouette Boudoir is for you to have THE BEST experience, and though we love it, lingerie is NOT requirement for a boudoir session! We want you to feel comfortable and in control, so if you'd rather where a dress, pjs, or your favorite hoodie, we are ready to make you feel confident and sexy, no matter what you wear!

2. Will my photos be retouched?
Each edited image will have a level of retouching if needed, mostly skin smoothing and cropping for the perfect framing. However we do not do extensive body reshaping. I still want you to see the real YOU, so my goal is normally to smooth everything out nicely and that works for almost everyone. But if you have a pimple or bruise you definitely want removed, we’ve got you!

3. Where should I buy my outfits?
My favorite is honestly Amazon! Not everything is perfect but you can find a surprising amount of good stuff for lower prices. It's my favorite spot to look for new bodysuits! Victoria's Secret is still a good go-to option! And if you are really striking out, don't forget about our client closet! You can see some of our options here.

4. How may outfits should I bring?
Depending on how you customize your session, our "sweet spot" number of outfits is three! But it never hurts to grab a few extra options so we can play around with it when you get to the studio!

5. Is hair and makeup included?
YES! All of our sessions include time with our professional makeup artists, who will help you to feel absolutely amazing right from the start. Meet our favorites here!

6. Do you share my images?
Silhouette will NEVER share your images unless you give us signed consent to do so. After our session, we ask you to fill out a model release so we always know your preference of the amount of sharing you are willing to do with your images. If you want your images completely private, they will be!

7. What type of print products do you have?
We offer stunning albums, wall art, magazines, and a number of other awesome other options for displaying or sharing your images. Check them all out here!

8. Do you offer digital files?
We always encourage our clients to print images first, but we do have digital options. All of our featured collections offer your album images in digital format. You can also choose to purchase additional digitals with your print credits or ala carte.

9. Do you have payment plans?
YES! We offer customized pre-payment plans for our clients to help get your collection completely paid for in time for their session. That means all you have to do for your boudoir experience is show up and enjoy!

10. How can I calm my nerves?
Boudoir is definitely a little bit scary at first, that is TOTALLY normal! Our team will be there with you to walk you through the whole process, chat and enjoy getting to know one another during hair and makeup. By the time you see yourself all glammed up, you’ll be more excited than nervous!

11. Should I arrive early for my shoot?
We request that clients arrive right on time for their shoot. Our pre-session email gives you detailed direction to our studio to help you find it (it can be a little tricky) but we do request that you don’t arrive too early as we are getting everything just perfect for you!
